I’ve read elsewhere that some rewriters create thousands of articles on the click of a button and submit to 100’s of directories.
Why is that not a good idea?

Hi Ben,
The problem is that any software or service that makes these claims is using automatic synonym replacment and/or an approach like Markov chains and this produces spam content.
The search engines are very good at spotting this and the content/articles are penalised. If anyone does actually get to see the content they won’t like it and will move quickly on to another page or search.
Also as the content will be marked as spam any links will be worthless.
And finally any links from spam to your sites may be treated suspiciously by the search engines!

I’ve found your article interesting. I agree with you, it’s true that some rewriters create thousands and thousands of articles in just one click of the software, but not all of them achieved impressive results. Hope this article would enlighten to some readers.
